Patients can now use biofeedback technology to keep track of exercises and improve outcomes

For more than fifty years, rehabilitation professionals have used biofeedback to facilitate normal movement patterns for patients following injury or surgery.  Biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity for the purposes of improving health and performance.  Essentially, biofeedback is the technique of providing biological information about their bodily function to patients in real-time, providing the user with additional information, above and beyond the information that is naturally available to them through their senses.

There are many benefits to providing patients and clinicians with biofeedback during rehabilitation. From improving accuracy during functional tasks, to increasing patient engagement (everyone likes to set and meet a goal) to even reducing the number of times a patient visits the clinic or office, there is great value in having additional data regarding movement and improvement.

Biofeedback may be used to improve health, performance, and the physiological changes that often occur in conjunction with changes to thoughts, emotions, and behavior.  That’s where the Rehab 360 Knee Glider app comes into play--the more we know (and the more you know) about your progress, the more likely you will be to strive for and, of course, meet those goals.

A new app and technological enhancements for the Rehab 360 knee glider are coming soon!
